Hall Passes will be available for $10 at the Registration Desk. These badges will give you access to the Vendor Halls, but NOT to any programming or shows. Bricks by the Bay LEGO passes will be available once again, at Registration.

We will be at the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara March 25th through the 27th, 2011. We don’t have the schedule set yet, but we will open registration around 2:00pm on Friday (you can check closer in) and will have some sort of entertainment or programming beginning around 3:00 or 4:00. There will be a dance class in the evening and the Ball of the Brass Dragon to truly kick-off events! Programming on Saturday will be approximately from 10:00am – 6:00pm with evening entertainments to follow, and on Sunday from 10:00am until around 5:00pm.

I have two little steampunkers, aged 9 and 13, and I was wondering if this venue was appropriate for them? I see one event is adults only, so I thought the rest of it would be kidproof. I was also wondering if the entrance fee was for all three days? That is a great deal if it is!

Please do bring your little steampunks! Only the one track will be “adults only”, in its own room. And yes – the ticket price covers the entire weekend, with no extra charges for any individual events. See you here!

I am a huge steampunk fan and aspiring author, and will be in attendance daily. I am Deaf, and use an ASL interpreter to access information and communicate. Will interpreters be provided by the exhibition? If not, I know of skilled interpreters who could work at a reasonable rate. This needs to be established well in advance of the March convention date to ensure the availability of interpreters.

We don’t have the Programming set yet, and won’t for several weeks yet. Friday night will be the Ball of the Brass Dragon, our Victorian Ball, and performances by Brass Farthing, Unwoman and Vernian Process; Saturday night will feature our big extravaganza, An Airship Home Companion (you can see the details HERE). We end at 5:00 on Sunday, so there is no evening entertainment. Hope that helps! ~ Ariane

Would a 2-year-old require a full-price ticket? I am considering the full passes, and wondering whether I need 3 or 4. My other son is 7 so I imagine he’ll be full price.

I have a friend who wants to do the masqurade thing but can only purchase the hall pass. Could she get into that if she does buy the hall pass?

No, in order to get into the Ball, one needs to either have a 3-Day pass or a Friday Only Pass. I apologize for the inflexibility, but it wouldn’t be fair to the attendees who paid to get in. If your friend is a student, she can get in at the discounted rate of $10, which does include access to the halls as well.
I am confused about the the difference between the “hall pass”, the “day pass” and the “show only” ticket. There is a big price difference (especially if you’re considering bringing a family of 3). What do you miss with just a “hall pass”, what do you gain with a “day pass”? Please help me figure this out!

A “Hall Pass” is $5 and gets you in to see the vendor halls and museum. It does not allow access to panels, presentations or evening events. A Day Pass (Friday, Saturday or Sunday Only) is good for ALL presentations, events and happenings that day and night. A “Show Only” ticket is for folks who *only* want to come see the Airship Home Companion/Lee Presson/Jon Magnificent show on Saturday night; no daytime programming, and the Vendor Halls & Museum will be closed at that time.

We’ve decided at the last minute to come up for your convention but are worried that if we come up late on Friday passes will be sold out. Does it look like this will be the case? We’re coming from Southern California and would hate to arrive only to find out that there are no passes available for the weekend’s events! Thanks!
